Probably Nitin is not reading this - he should be out enjoying himself and celebrating. I'd like to wish Nitin happy birthday the card will have to wait till next tour though Rosemary

....and there were probably a few candles too, Rosemary!! I see that Birthday Boy will be back at Sadler's Wells again this Autumn..... hopefully, I will have unpacked the inflatable mattress and found the air pump, by then!!!!

Oh you poor girl! When you say 'frightening', is that 'raw-gummed, puffy-faced' frightening or, are you talking more like 'Lantern Fish' frightening?

Ah, don't be so hard on yourself Rosemary, your posts aren't that bad!!! As for the date..... is your husband OK about that kind of thing? I thought you'd given up the toy boys but hey, who am I to judge...

rosemary: Buga, I hardly think a consultant dental surgeon constitutes a toy boy.
Oh he does if he's younger than you and besides which, you'll be flat on your back and unconscious..... .....Enough said.

Oh, and talking of people ending up flat on their back and unconscious, Nitin, did you get a chance to celebrate your birthday or did you spend it sober as a monk, tinkering around in your new studio? Actually, I've been inside a monk's pantry and while the wine might possibly have been reserved for communion, the same couldn't have been said of the crates of beer.... even I know that much!

Buga dear, your imagination exceeds all reality! The consultant is older than me! And it is current practice to use local rather than general anaesthetic, because there is always an element of risk in using a general. As I recall, Catholics don't usually have any problems with alcohol consumption , so your analogy with monks doesn't really stand up either. Hmmm.... I now have visions of swaying monks - can't be the alcohol as I don't drink and I don't think anyone has spiked my rooibos tea . Maybe it is all the pain relief I am taking
